♥ ♣ ♠ ♦ WHEEL OF MISFORTUNE ♦ ♠ ♣ ♥
Welcome to the Wheel of Misfortune! Here, you and a friend will be experience a lifetime of happiness and joy as you spin the wheel to determine your fate! Well, it'll be happiness and joy for one of you probably. Maybe not so much the other.
Instructions
♦ Leave a comment with the character you're playing!
♦ You can be the one doing the damage or the one receiving the damage. Specify if you have a preference! (Alternatively, you're in a situation where you take turns doing damage to each other! HOORAY.)
♦ Whoever is doing the damage will spin the wheel! Use RNG or whatever you'd like to do so. Whatever number it lands on is what action you'll perform on the person!
♦ There's another wheel for bodyparts, but feel free to ignore it and choose your own body part of choice if you'd like.
♦ Once that action is done, feel free to continue spinning! Also, feel free to be super creative about your spins! Make a game out of it! For example, maybe they need to play I Spy and for each guess they get incorrect, they have to spin the wheel. Or like with 20 questions! Each question that receives a no answer = one spin. OR MAYBE YOU JUST WANT TO KEEP SPINNING BECAUSE YOU FEEL LIKE IT.
♦ How much struggling/fighting back that can happen is up to you and the person you're playing with. If you want to, you can just say they're strapped down really good and powers are nerfed or not.
♦ If you wanna play a nice person doing the terrible things, you could assume that maybe if they don't do it, THEIR MOST IMPORTANT PERSON EVER WILL DIE. Or whatever cause necessary to make them move forward.
♦ Please have fun being terrible people.
♦ However if there is a particular squick you really cannot play, you have the right to say no! There is nothing wrong with that! Feel free to list it out if you want to avoid a particular thing. There are several methods of terribad things available, after all!
SPIN THE WHEEL
1. Pins and Needles. Poking people isn't very fun. Shots, needles, you have to use a thin, pointy object for whatever reason.
2. Snap, crackle, pop. The sound of something breaking, snapping. Think bones, maybe.
3. Slicing and Dicing. Knives, tho. Vivisection, tho.
4. Drip, drip, drop. Who doesn't enjoy slow blood loss? Or maybe water torture.
5. Makes no sense. You're going to lose one of your senses! Whether it involves sewing your mouth shut or numbing your entire body so you can't sense touch or popping an eardrum, it's probably gonna suck.
6. Burn, baby, burn. USE FIRE.
7. Ice, Ice, baby. USE ICE.
8. Can't handle the Pressure. You know, sometimes it is fun just crushing a hand or two.
9. Living the Dream. Maybe you're knocked out? Or maybe someone decided strange liquids would be a-ok to inject. Either way, you're gonna experience hallucinations or nightmares of some sort.
10. Sweetest Poison. Nothing better than nausea and sickness slowly building inside of you. Could be a disease or an actual poison or maybe a unique poison that you came up with. Symptoms are up to you though!
11. You don't need that. Sometimes you gotta remove the unnecessary bits. Like your fingers.
12. Swear to tell the truth. Truth serum makes you speak honestly. Great for the manipulating scientist who want to mess with you psychologically, too.
13. Hole made just for you. Holes are creepy okay. More intense than just needle pricks! Maybe drills or a sickness that forces holes to form, either way. HOLES. Ew.
14. Be more creative than me. Perhaps you have your own cool and unique ability to torture with. I'm looking to expand my horizons so teach me your ways, okay okay.
Bodyparts (in case you prefer a ~mystery~ and you need to pick a random body part for some reason)
1. Fingers
2. Toes
3. Hands
4. Elbows
5. Knees
6. Legs
7. Stomach
8. Chest
9. Neck
10. Shoulders
11. Face
12. Nose
13. Eyes
14. Ears
15. Lips
16. Teeth
17. Random Organ
18. Non-human part insert here
19. Feet

Huey Laforet | Baccano!
Receiving || okay with everything!
Re: Receiving || okay with everything!
Huey seemed to be too busy reading to really notice Mary fighting back anyway. He wasn't bothered, he wasn't annoyed. In fact, it was as if he didn't notice Mary's presence in the room whatsoever.
WHAT A NICE FELLOW, RIGHT?
But still he eventually managed to put his book down long enough to look in her direction.]
Hm.
Woo!
[This time she adds,] What, did you grab me for money? Why will you not speak!?
receiving | you know me
What the hell is this-!? Where's Thierry??!
Re: receiving | you know me
The only thing is that you cannot escape the room you're stuck in. Whatever the walls and doors are made of, they're pretty much impenetrable.]
Re: receiving | you know me
[-- or not.]
OW, what the fuck-!? [H..hops on one foot, jfc that hurt.]
The hell is this made of...!??
Re: receiving | you know me
It's my creation. It's interesting isn't it?
[Huey hasn't moved from the spot where he was pummeled, but it's pretty to see why. Little bits of flesh and head stuff were slowly reattaching themselves to Huey's face, and he was patiently waiting for it all to come back. He seems pretty a-ok with all of this btw.]
Re: receiving | you know me
[And slowly... turns her head... to stare in silent horror as Huey's face just knits itself back together what the hell is going on.]
How.....
Re: receiving | you know me
[Once he finishes piecing himself back together, he gets right back up. He doesn't approach her this time. Instead he decides to just walk around, looking at random things in the room. If he was planning to grab something, you wouldn't be able to tell.]

Rail already knows that the moment the door to the lab slides close, there's no escaping what happens next. That's why she doesn't bother to look behind her when she hears it shut. She can even guess what she's here for and what they'll probably do to her. Or at least, Rail thinks that if she can guess what happens to her, she can brace herself for the pain that's coming.
It doesn't stop the thudding in her chest, or that her instincts right now are screaming at her to run. Her body was already somewhat used to being dissected, but no matter how much she's prepared herself for it, her breath still catches in her throat the moment she sees that table being set up.
There's no begging, no sobbing. Despite the fear hanging over her, she seems calm - smiling even, thanks to the work done on her face. But her expression darkens and her eyes narrow when she sees who's in the lab waiting for her.]

Also obviously Mary's the one taking the wheel. Nothing's gonna go wrong there.]

God. Really, God -- she doesn't want to do this. Mary has been thinking this over for ten minutes. Her sense of time, compared to Seto's, is slightly skewed -- without any clocks or calendars, she once counted the passing of years based on seasons. But her body still reacts differently; if ten years feels like one year, naturally ten minutes would feel like... what?
In this case, it feels like ten years. Ten years, a hundred years, a thousand years she's been sitting here, staring wide-eyed (filled with tears that haven't quite gotten to falling yet) and mute at Seto beneath her (when was the last time she looked down at him?), mouth curled downwards in a tight frown. If she bit her lip any harder it'd definitely bleed all over her nice apron.
But what else does she do? Does she save Seto or does she save everyone else? She thinks, maybe, that she knows what he would want. His family is more important than him himself. And there's no guarantee that she'll hurt him that badly -- she's read about these wheel games since moving in, she understands the concept of chance -- but her heart aches at the concept. She scrapes her brain across the rack trying to glean an alternative.
Her heart screams knowing that she even thought of leaving the others behind for his sake, even if it was only for a millionth of a second. Stop that. Stop that. If you're willing to sacrifice that many people for just him, what kind of monster does that make you?
In the end, she just doubles over on top of him, tears spilling over.]

And it hurts seeing that small frame in that kind of pain. He knows that between Mary and himself, her position is definitely the most stressful. His own position isn't exactly desirable, but at the very least, he didn't have to make this kind of choice. He just has to take the pain until someone decides that it's okay to stop. He just has to stay alive. He just has to watch Mary cry.
However, Mary had to choose. She had to choose between him and everyone else, and forcing someone like Mary to do that is honestly pure cruelty. Out of everyone, she might have been the worst person to have to make this kind of decision so of course, it was Mary who had to suddenly choose who to save and who to hurt. Out of everyone, it had to be her, didn't it? It was obvious that making that kind of choice was going to hurt her in ways that physical pain couldn't.
Seto let out a deep breath, trying to keep his composure and a calm expression, while also doing his best to hide the tightening knot in his stomach.
He's afraid. He's terrified. He didn't want to do this. But he knew Mary didn't want to do this either.
I won't be angry. Promise.

[She knew he would say that. She's glad he did, in a way; she's glad she was reminded of exactly what she had to do. That solid affirmation that it was okay for her to do what she needed to do for everyone else -- or more accurately, that solid affirmation that she absolutely couldn't throw everyone away for his sake. The thought didn't touch down in her mind for even a second, but it'd already successfully taken root at the very bottom of her heart, in those darkest most humid places. Like a mushroom. She could think of this intrusive thought as a fungus that needed to be uprooted.
She had to be rid of it. It was never an option. He doesn't want it. She doesn't want it. All of these people are her family now. It isn't just Seto. They have to go ride the roller coaster together again. They have to eat dinner together again. There are just too many things left undone and unsaid to just give up on all of them. Kozakura Mary will never become that monstrous. All of them have to come home safely.
But what if one of them doesn't?]
S-Sorry... I'm -- sorry, Seto...
[She's trembling still when she rights herself to look at his face. Eyes unfocused and blurry with tears, she couldn't see the face the green-brown blur beneath her made.
She doesn't want to hurt him. Her vision's improved by the time she tears her eyes away from his face to look at the wheel (a nasty, tearful glare if there's ever been one), but she can't bring herself to move any closer to it. She doesn't want to touch it.]

[Seto decides to turn his gaze towards Mary, hoping that maybe she can refocus her attention on him and not the terror that she's obviously dealing with right now. He didn't expect her to suddenly become a steadfast warrior, but at the very least, it could maybe calm her down a little bit.
His eyes are as gentle as ever, matching the small smile that he had on his face, but honestly, that's about the most he can muster. If Mary had been a doctor or just a tiny bit more observant, she might have noticed . . . Racing heartbeat, sweaty palms, faster breathing . . . yes, Seto's definitely feeling the fear sinking in especially as he notices her gaze moves towards the wheel. That wheel was going to pretty much determine his fate for now, and no matter what, the options stink.
And it's going to hurt.
And Mary's going to cry some more.
And there's no guarantee that they'll find the rest of the Dan, alive at least.
But that's exactly why, for now, it is just better to keep his smile up.]
If we get through this quickly, lets do something nice with everyone.

Elaine Felkin | Original
Huey's receiving, ok ok. Because I said so.
terriblethings. Despite the upcoming torture, he was pretty chill about it. And you know, that shouldn't be a surprise considering he was the one who asked Elaine to perform these acts in the first place. This was strange for Huey Laforet who was usually the one performing these acts on other people, but for some strange reason, he was leaving this to Elaine instead. Surely he had a reason, but what was it? By this point, Elaine had probably figured out that Huey was not the nicest man in the world and had done some pretty terrible things so why was it that he was asking Elaine to do these things?
Mystery...]
lewd
But she tries to calm herself, because Huey is watching and has expectations of her and in that way it's sort of like a proctored examination at school. She could think of it that way, but she never had any emotional attachments to those people -- no like or admiration or anything at all -- that was why she never ran into this problem then.
When she spins the wheel, it lands on a five.]
Ah... a surgical procedure to remove one of five senses...? Is that acceptable, Mr Laforet...?
[Jesus, you idiot, shut up. He wouldn't have asked you to help if he wasn't okay with it. But she has to think on what she wants to do. Numbing ruins his ability to feel pain for future spins, removing his eyes means that he can't see what she's doing, which is probably, she thinks, part of the evaluation, if she pops eardrums she has to pop both but if she does that or removes his tongue then they can't have conversations (and that's just her, it's always so unfortunate not being able to have conversations) --
So, after a bit of thinking, she decides on the nose. Most other ways she'd have to do this would involve brain surgery, but it's a lot easier to just sew the entire thing tightly shut. It's nice. She's been practicing her sewing to help her friends around the house. So she starts to ready a sanitized needle and some thread from a nearby tray.]
Re: lewd
[And in a way, this is not a lie. He can believe in her actions and her intentions. However, the statement might be filled with a double meaning behind it. Usually everything did with Huey.
As she sanitized the needle, Huey's body tensed up just a tiny bit. It's barely noticeable, but it was there.]
You've decided then?
no subject
Yes, Sir. For this portion of the experiment, I believe that I shall seal your nose, thereby removing your sense of smell.
[From the corner of her eye, she notices what she assumes is that nervous (she thinks) tensing. He might notice a barely perceptible, vague hesitation in her movements around then before she shrugs it off -- it was too vague. It's not weird for her to see things even though she's not at home. Magic use has left her imagination overactive, that's all.
So when she moves back to her previous position, she leans in to pinch the sides of his nose in, before inserting the needle from the right.]

[Just kidding! He holds still during the operation though he does flinch as she makes the first move and the further she sews, the more he strains his expression. In fact, tears start to well up in his eyes.
However, he makes no sound, no complaints and tries to keep a calm expression as always.]
